H&M Top, Vintage Jeans via Public Butter, H&M Bag, Yoki Loafers

In the past few weeks I think I’ve bought 5 tops with ruffles, no joke. Two sweaters, this tee, and a tank; Ok so four, excessive?

I don’t consider myself very “girly” in terms of how I dress, yet I’ve found myself leaning towards ruffles and “girlier” garments lately when I’ve been out shopping. The thing is they’re more statement ruffles than they are silly, frilly, cutesy etc etc. I’m into statement pieces where the rest of my outfit can be relaxed, like this t-shirt with dramatic sleeves paired with this $20 pair of vintage Lee light wash denim that has curious paint stains in various spots (like the turquoise one on the inside of my pant leg..). This top makes me want to flamenco dance and if you know me you know that dancing is never to far away from happening. The subtle statement game is where I’m at lately because I truly loooove to be comfortable and this t-shirt is just that. I have been on the hunt for a few more statement tops I can bust out this fall before I have to throw a giant parka on top of it. I also just don’t have many nice tops, so my goals is to get back into fun outfits like I used to and not be afraid to wear a top with gigantic ruffled sleeves.
