This outfit essentially screams me. Denim, ankle boots and a quirky printed button-up shirt thrown in to spice things up (when I’m not normally dressed in all black). The real reason this outfit screams LAYLA LANE, is because this entire outfit cost me less than $25. I have had a bit of luck over the years finding hidden gems in sale sections, at thrift stores, discount department store, and in vintage boutiques. I think it’s really due to the fact that I have the patience to actually sift through everything and being tiny doesn’t hurt either. My family and friends are always shocked to see what I manage to spend compared to how many goodies I bring home. To me it’s a calming experience, where others get overwhelmed shopping in that sort of environment. Feed me and caffeinate me and I could sift all day.
Here are the details: this shirt, originally from Joe Fresh, I found in the racks at Common Sort in Parkdale (my fave buy/sell shop) for $8.00. The skirt I found on sale for $12.00 after I posted it here, and the boots I got at Value Village unworn for 3 friggin BUCKS (somehow the day I went all shoes were 50% off)…luck?
